ACTIVITIES

Percussion Session

There'll be a number of artistic activities on offer during the week, all of which will be lead, on a voluntary skill-share basis, by fellow passengers, all of whom are professionals in their own field.

These include Harmony-Singing - lead by Henry Sears and Kath Slater, with songs that are easy to learn. No previous musical knowledge is needed. (A link to examples/recordings will shortly be posted here), there will also be Creative-Writing sessions and an ongoing Sculpture-Workshop for beginners and improvers, lead by myself, this year focusing on bass-relief.

Although there's no obligation to participate, past cruises have shown that everyone has been delighted to dip their toes in - and most to immerse themselves fully.

PAST CRUISE REVIEWS

"This has got to be one of the most enjoyable holidays we've ever had and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to anyone looking for the perfect mix of creativity & relaxation ~ and all on a luxury vessel!

There's time to chill out ~ in heavenly surroundings ~ but there's also sufficient class-time to learn and create. On our cruise it was sculpture that was on offer, mentored by a true artist: incredibly skilled, professional and, what's more: great fun to spend a week with!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! for one of the most fabulous weeks of my life!  And I really mean that ~ it was life changing.

We hope to come back again soon to repeat it."

"What an incredible experience!

My wife and I booked this trip with (to be honest) a far greater interest in just enjoying a relaxing Gulet cruise in this gorgeous region of Turkey, than the activities on offer. The Gulet and the area both met our considerably high expectations, providing a luxury sailing experience in one of the world’s most beautiful locations... but Kate’s ability to deliver an unforgettable experience far exceeded our expectations.

As well as being educational, Kate expertly facilitated the bonding of the group and in no time at all we were singing, dancing, enjoying midnight swims etc, etc.

All in all it was a fantastic holiday with truly lovely people - where do I sign up for next years trip?"

"For some of us, sitting on a beach for a week can be an uneventful trial; for others trailing around museums and historical sites can be too much of a good thing. So what a fantastic find this holiday was for me!

Cruising around the islands of Turkey's turquoise coast on a beautiful boat, whilst learning ~ and all in such a relaxed fashion.

What could be better?

As well as the activities, we'd spend our days relaxing under the awnings, with a lovely breeze and wonderful scenery all around; we'd spend lazy afternoons after delicious lunches, moored in beautiful inlets, swimming from the boat, paddling a canoe, windsurfing or just reading a book on deck.

And the evenings were delightful, with spontaneous music-making and dancing, after which, we'd retire to our en-suite cabins ~ or as I did on the last night, sleep on deck under the stars.

All in all: an utter delight!"

"Thank you so much for organising such a wonderful holiday!

The gulet, the crew, the weather, the great company ~ what more could one ask for.   Great too to provide a focus, a common interest for a group of people who’d never met before.  It really was lovely!"

Thank you!

"Thanks for organising such a fabulous trip!
The combination of sun, relaxation and artistic activities - in between swims and reading - worked really well. And the boat was lovely, with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space as well as sit around and chat together. The whole thing was both great fun and highly inspirational.

Can’t wait to do it all again!"
